We love shouting about our achievements here at 5874, which is why it was evident that we would take a look back at some of the things we achieved/celebrated in 2018. Our biggest year yet, 2018 has been full of constant highs for us and we can’t wait to see what 2019 has up its sleeve!

We Won’t Stop Growing!
Perhaps one of the biggest changes you might notice about us now compared to the start of the year, is that we’ve grown from a team of 8 to a team of 15! That means in the last 2 ½ years, the 5874 team has TRIPLED in size! We’re so proud of the 5874 bunch, and we can’t wait to add some more new faces and new skill sets to the team in 2019!
We’ve tackled quite a lot in the last 12 months. From launching luxury homeware brand Chickidee’s new B2B and B2C sites, to a brand new website for law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys, overall, we’ve been pretty busy! One of our biggest projects this year was the recent launch of Italian restaurant chain and online retailer, Carluccio’s, new website. 2018 was definitely a year for big projects and it looks like next year is gearing up to be even bigger! Watch this space!
The Windy City
Rupert Cross and Francis Vassallo took to the skies in June for IRCE and the Ecommerce Growth Summit in Chicago. Rupert also took part in the ‘Demystifying Headless Commerce’ panel discussing all things SaaS, open source and content. A great trip that we’re sure will be the first of many international adventures for 5874.
We’ve really grown our property marketing portfolio this year by taking on some large scale projects with the likes of Aviva Investors, Legal & General, MCS Group, Orchard Street Investments and Johnson Fellows. Not only have we provided brochures, websites and signage, we’ve also organised a launch event that featured mini golf and a driving range, as well as a fun Christmas campaign for Uxbridge Industrial Park – see below!
Elite Partner Status
This year we became the first agency in Europe to be awarded Elite Partner status with BigCommerce. We had been Certified and Preferred BigCommerce Partners for some time, but this year, we took it up a notch, solidifying ourselves as the go-to agency for all things BigCommerce.
Big WordPress Award
2018 saw the launch of BigCommerce for WordPress – a headless commerce integration. 5874 were one of the first digital agencies to implement the integration. For our quick development times and the innovation involved in working on the new integration, we won the Big WordPress Award at the 2018 BigCommerce Partner Awards. We’re delighted to be involved with such a large scale and groundbreaking project and can’t wait to be involved more with BigCommerce in the future.
58 on Film!
There’s no denying that 2018 saw us ramp up our digital marketing. A big part of our marketing strategy this year was to produce more videos with our clients, which included Yumi, Chickidee and Go Cotswolds case studies. We’re so grateful to be able to feature our clients and projects in this way and we’ve already got a few more videos planned for production over the next few months.
Those were just our highlights of 2018 but we had such a jam-packed year, it was difficult to distill down to just a few key moments! We can’t wait for continued growth in 2019 and look forward to bringing more success for our clients of old and new.
