It’s important to us that our employees have a working environment where they can thrive. While a pool table and beer fridge might seem like great perks to begin with, we know that what most people truly want is flexible working, healthcare and plenty of growth opportunities.
Putting the Focus on People

What Are 5874’s Perks and Benefits?
Over the past couple of years alone, we have added many perks and benefits. We talked to our employees and asked them what they wanted – shocking, right? For us, company perks are a way for us to tell our employees we appreciate them and the work they do, but also that we’re looking out for them.

Last year, we introduced a mentoring scheme and it’s something we’re incredibly proud of. We believe that by transferring skills to those who want to expand their knowledge, the team will be able to grow and prosper.
The company offers peer-to-peer mentoring but members of the team can also reach out externally and find people outside the organisation who can help them advance in their careers and personal lives.
Mentoring’s purpose is to support our employees and to empower their careers not just in 58, but for the future as well.
We’ve always known how significant it is to have a healthy work-life balance, but Covid-19 really took things to the next level! We allow our team to decide what days they come into the office as part of our flexible working scheme.
As long as our team are working their core working hours, which are between 9.30 am-3.30 pm, we allow them to manage their time as they please. Isn’t that convenient? We recognise that sometimes we have to come in an hour later than usual due to a doctor’s appointment, or because you have to drop the kids off at school. This is life and work is just a part of it.
Private Healthcare Scheme
This was a big one for us. While we all love and value the incredible work our NHS does, we know that sometimes it can be difficult to grab an appointment that can fit around other commitments, particularly during such a busy time like, say, living through a pandemic!
We introduced a private healthcare scheme that allows our employees to grab an appointment with a GP as and when they need to. The scheme also provides discounts for optical and dental services and comprehensive mental health services and support.
At this point, Jaffa Cakes are engraved as part of our culture here at 58. You can ask anyone in our team and I’m sure there isn’t one person who doesn’t like to indulge in our FREE snack cupboard. Whether it’s biscuits, coffee or crisps – we have it all!

It’s safe to say snacks are taken very seriously here at 5874. We have many of them – seriously, you should see our snack cupboard!
