What made you apply for a job with 5874?

The messaging. Everything just seemed so focused on the team and getting the best out of everyone. It was also the perfect time and opportunity for me to step into bigger projects, and with the 5874 ethos being clear from the beginning, it was exactly what I was looking for!

What's your favourite thing about working here?

The team. It really has been a joy to come to the office and get to know everyone, how the different teams function and work together. It’s also been fantastic to be able to ask any questions and everyone helps and offers their wisdom.

In your role, what do you most enjoy and what area do you feel you excel in?

I love all things digital and always have. Being able to be part of building these wonderful digital solutions is something I love being a part of - and working alongside the wider team to come together and make it a possibility. I also love being able to be involved in varying degrees with different departments and how they work/what they work on.

Where do you see yourself career-wise in 5 years?

More experienced, naturally - and with more responsibility! I’ve been working as a Project Manager pretty much since leaving school at varying degrees and have loved it from the start. Processes, methodologies, I find it all really interesting and then being able to apply those. I’m now at a point in my career where I have used a number of processes, tools and I think one of the best things about Project Management is that it’s always evolving. New ways of working, constantly growing and improving.

Who or what inspires you?

Team members, and their experience. Being able to discuss things and how they’ve tackled challenges, opportunities, you can learn from everyone and I think that’s something I’ve spotted straight away at 5874. There’s a lot of really talented and skilled team members, with lots to pick their brains about!

Tell us a little bit about yourself / family / hobbies

I love music, football, and gaming really. Music has always been a large part of my life from the start, my unique name even comes from the fact my parents met at a Michael Jackson concert and thus named me after his first born son. I’m also a huge Manchester United fan, even though in recent years that’s led to some less than happy times!

What would you say is your favourite project you've worked on?

I’m very much looking forward to working on projects at 5874. In my entire time as a project manager, there was one project that stood out - it was a digital therapy tool for people with paranoid schizophrenia. To be able to be part of the build & work for that was really interesting, and I learnt a lot as part of the project. It was great to see the real world impact it had.
