What made you apply for a job at 58?

The prospect of working as part of a team where creating work everyone is proud of is top of the agenda, the strong emphasis on employee development and culture, and the well-stocked snack cupboard.

Where do you see yourself career-wise in 5 years time?

I'd like to develop my skills in Laravel further, hopefully to the point of leading projects and developing more complex integrations with Bigcommerce. Ecommerce development on the scale 58 work at is something that's still relatively new to me, so I'm excited to see where that leads.

Who or what inspires you?

Learning new stuff - the main reason I chose to work in web development is the constantly evolving landscape of the web. I literally learn something new every day, and as someone who truly feels that learning is the reason for life, this is the ideal place to be!

Tell us a bit about your pets (if you have any)

I have a cat called Pearl, she's a rescue and she rules over the tamer cats in our quiet suburban neighbourhood with an iron paw. You can take the cat out of the alley, but you can't take the alley out of the cat!

Tell us a bit about yourself/family/hobbies

Outside of work I spend most of my time writing music - I've been really lucky to have been featured on BBC Radio 1 a few times in the last year, and played a few festivals over the summer, including Boomtown, which was an experience to say the least. I'm also a bit of an environmentalist, I haven't eaten meat for the majority of my life, and I'm partial to a few craft beers on the weekend.
