London Calling: Our Week at eCommerce Expo
What a week! The 5874 team has just returned from a whirlwind few days in London, and between the talks, networking, and more than a few glasses raised, we’re buzzing with energy and inspiration.
We kicked things off at Shopify After Hours: eCommerce Expo Warmup. It was the perfect easing-in - catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and setting the tone for an action-packed few days ahead.
Day one of eCommerce Expo did not disappoint. The halls were busy, bustling, and brimming with innovation.
A big thank you to our partners at Commerce who invited us to take the stage on their stand. Our CEO Rupert Cross joined Dan Beckles, co-founder of Furniturebox UK, to share the story of their incredible eCommerce success journey. Inspiring, insightful, and packed with practical takeaways.
Meanwhile, our very own Sara Russell (Marketing Director) teamed up with Michaela Weber from Commerce to shine a spotlight on The Women’s Domain - a powerful initiative supporting women in the industry.
And because no conference day is complete without a proper wind-down, we headed to The Fox for networking drinks. A relaxed, friendly evening, with laughter flowing as easily as the drinks. We’re already looking forward to next year’s TWD events, where a full programme of panels, lightning talks, and in-person gatherings will continue building this much-needed space for personal development, community, mentoring, and networking. Allies, of course, are always welcome.
We rounded off the week at Commerce’s brand launch party at The Gherkin. What a night! The atmosphere was electric - positive, collaborative, and full of the sense that we’re all working together towards something bigger for the future of eCommerce.
London, you were a blast. Between insightful talks, brilliant networking, and a few unforgettable parties, we’ve come away inspired and excited for what’s next.
Until next year, eCommerce Expo. See you at the bar.
